The Value of Staying with HomeCare Australia

A good Home Care Package Provider delivers quality service, offers value for money and is there for you when you need them. Home care services should help you live independently – and happily – by taking care of the tasks that have become a bit too much for you to handle. You deserve quality care and it is easier now than ever to change between providers with no additional cost to you.

While we want you to know that the choice is always yours we would love to share some of the many reasons why we believe HomeCare Australia is offering the best available support and offer you a personal invitation to reach out to us to redesign your care if it is no longer supporting you in the way you need

One of our primary underpinning philosophies is that of Enablement.

A philosophy of enablement is  “doing with” not “doing for” so as to support your independence and autonomy. In doing so we are in alignment with the Australian Government’s ENABLEMENT initiative. We believe our role is to support and encourage individuals to achieve agreed, realistic objectives to live as independently as possible in their own homes. We encourage our staff to embrace enablement and help you regain some of the skills you may have lost because of poor health or impairment.

So what should you do if your home care needs change as your home care needs are likely to evolve over time. As an alternative to switching Home Care Package Providers, you can work with us at HomeCare Australia to adjust the combination of services you’re receiving to better suit your needs. If your home care needs have changed significantly, you may be eligible for a higher-level Home Care Package. If this is the case let your Care Manager know and we will work through it with you.

And rest assured there have been many improvements over the course of the last few years, ensuring that your investment toward your care isn't lost in administration fees. You can read more about how the government's updates have been improving home care charges here.

Here at HomeCare Australia we are committed to helping you live independently in your home for longer, to ensure the personal care services we offer are extensive.

Are you aware of all the services we offer?

It’s possible that you might be needing other types of care or that your care needs may in the future change. A full list of our services and support can be found here.

Our philosophies and policies would be nothing without the people that embody this message in our community. Our team is second to none and are the focus of our ongoing training and development programs.

Our personal care staff are all required to have as a minimum:

Valid Driver’s License

Comprehensive Insurance Policy (for transport jobs)

Current First Aid Certificate

Cert III or IV in Aged Care, Community Care or Disability Care

Minimum 12 months relevant experience

Australian Police Check

Working with children check (NSW)

Blue Card/Yellow Card (QLD)

Finally a personal message from our founder Gaynor whose values of honesty and integrity inspired the establishment of HomeCare Australia.

“When establishing our services at HomeCare Australia our research found that clients wanted a service provider who was responsive to their needs, was accessible and flexible in the delivery of services - delivering services when they wanted them rather than when a care worker was available. They also wanted care from people who understood them and their needs - cultural; spiritually and social.”

This formed and continues to underpin the values that drive us here at HomeCare Australia.

We hope this has answered any questions you might have had but also welcome you contacting us.
