A Warm Reminder About Our Gift Policy

Updated: 7 days ago

As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the trust you place in us and our care team. Your kindness and appreciation mean so much to our staff, who are dedicated to supporting your well-being and helping you remain independent at home.

We know that many of you enjoy showing appreciation for your care workers, especially during festive times, and we are always deeply touched by your kindness. However, we want to let you know about our gifts policy, which all staff agree to upon joining our team. This policy is in place to maintain professional boundaries and ensure that no conflicts of interest arise, helping us provide the highest standard of care in a fair and transparent way.

Why We Have a Gift Policy

Our organization’s priority is to provide you with the highest standard of impartial and professional care. To maintain this, we have a policy in place that ensures fairness and transparency across all our services.

Under this policy, our staff cannot accept money or gifts of significant monetary value from clients or their families. This helps to protect both clients and care workers by fostering a professional and respectful relationship.

Small tokens of appreciation, such as a box of chocolates or a handwritten card, are welcome and deeply cherished by our staff. However, any gifts beyond this must be politely declined, and staff are required to report the offer to our office.

How You Can Show Appreciation

If you wish to thank your care worker, here are a few meaningful ways to express your gratitude while aligning with our policy:

●        A Kind Word: Letting your care worker know how much you value their support can be incredibly rewarding.

●        A Thoughtful Card: A heartfelt message or card can brighten their day and leave a lasting impression.

●        A Small Token: Simple gestures like baked goods or a small box of chocolates are lovely ways to say thank you.

●        Nominate your care worker for employee of the month. We send a staff newsletter each month where we highlight great acts of care by our team.

Our Commitment to You

We understand that this policy might feel limiting, particularly if you’d like to express your gratitude in other ways. Please know that our care workers don’t expect gifts; they are dedicated to supporting you because they genuinely care. Your trust, respect, and kind words are the greatest rewards they could ask for.

If you have any questions about this policy or would like further clarification, feel free to reach out to our office. Our team is always here to support you and ensure your experience with us is positive and fulfilling.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Together, we can ensure a respectful and professional environment for everyone involved. We wish you a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, connection, and happiness.
